Job Description

  • Meet with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and expectations, translating ideas into clear design concepts
  • Develop detailed sketches, illustrations, and/or digital designs aligned with customer requirements
  • Advise clients on styles, fabrics, colors, and finishes to achieve the best results
  • Conduct ongoing market and trend research to keep designs current, competitive, and innovative
  • Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials based on design, quality, and budget
  • Prepare design specifications, including measurements, patterns, and production notes for tailors
  • Work closely with tailors and production teams to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of designs
  • Supervise fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve perfect garment fit and finish
  • Perform quality control checks on finished garments to ensure they meet design and customer expectations
  • Manage multiple design orders simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain organized records of client designs, measurements, and production details
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the design process, including follow-ups and after-sales support
  • Recommend improvements in design processes, materials, and production efficiency
  • Ensure consistency in brand style, quality, and overall aesthetic
 
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in a busy fashion design company
  • Strong creativity with excellent technical design skills
  • Solid understanding of garment construction and fabric selection
  • Up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends and industry practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
