Call for Applications: Community Journalism Fellowship 🎙️

Are you a community journalist passionate about telling stories that make women’s leadership, inclusion, and rights more visible in your community?

Seats of Change, a storytelling initiative by Vice Versa Global, invites applications for a 3-month Community Journalism Fellowship designed to strengthen local reporting that connects everyday leadership and rights advocacy to real change on the ground.

The fellowship focuses on journalists based in Turkana, Kilifi, Makueni, and Nairobi counties, supporting them to document how women are shaping governance, influencing decision-making, and driving progress in their communities.

Selected fellows will receive:
✅ Practical training in solutions journalism, data-driven storytelling, and rights-based reporting
✅ Ongoing mentorship from experienced editors and media professionals
✅ Access to multimedia skills and tools to produce stories across text, photo, video, and audio
✅ Publication opportunities through Vice Versa Global platforms and partner media outlets

We especially welcome women community journalists and those working in under-represented or rural communities.
