About Candidate
Akinyi Oluoch is a creative arts therapist and community facilitator who uses storytelling and the arts to build spaces of connection, reflection, and growth. Rooted in Kenya’s creative landscape, she has spent over five years designing and leading workshops and programs that bring together artists, youth, and changemakers to explore wellbeing, creativity, and collective expression.
Through her practice, Your Creative Therapist, Akinyi curates experiences that blend drama therapy, community art-making, and dialogue to nurture resilience and collaboration. Her work with actors, musicians, and community groups has deepened her understanding of how creativity can bridge personal healing and social innovation.
Akinyi is passionate about strengthening creative ecosystems where media practitioners and artists can exchange ideas, support one another, and tell meaningful stories that reflect and transform their communities.
