About Candidate

Rashid Hunt is a Kenyan filmmaker, producer, and storyteller passionate about building creative communities and amplifying African narratives. Based in Mombasa, he has directed and produced several socially driven films, including Bingwa and Seas The Day. As one of the organisors of Muvi Barazani at Baraza Media Lab Mombasa, Rashid has fostered dialogue among filmmakers, artists, and audiences, using film as a tool for connection and social reflection. His work blends storytelling, environmental advocacy, and community engagement to inspire collaboration and cultural growth within Kenya’s & Africa’s creative ecosystem.
