Work & Experience
I had the exciting opportunity to edit a sci-fi short film that was selected for screening at Century IMAX in Junction Mall as part of the 48 Hour Film Competition which garnered 2 awards. This fast-paced challenge required the team to write, shoot, and edit a film within 48 hours, pushing my editing skills to the limit. I collaborated closely with the director to bring futuristic concepts to life while maintaining a compelling narrative. Seeing the final cut on the big screen was a rewarding experience, and it reaffirmed my passion for storytelling through the art of editing. I'm currently working as the director of a moving documentary that highlights a young girl's path into the often male-dominated sector of carpentry. She defies social norms and demonstrates that craftsmanship knows no gender via her passion and perseverance. The movie shows her remarkable skill set as well as how it changed her family's perspective. Her parents changed from being skeptical to being very supportive of the project as it progressed, seeing that carpentry might be her career and passion. This documentary explores themes of empowerment, dispelling myths, and pursuing one's genuine purpose in addition to the trade of carpentry.
