About Candidate
Dennis Munene is an accomplished Humanitarian
Photographer and filmmaker/cinematographer
whose journey started at 12 years old when his
photograph was featured in the local newspaper. A
graduate of the Mohamed Main Foundation, he is
passionate about his craft which speaks to the
human condition, such as Nature, Beauty, and
Sports, addressing the struggles and joys of life.
Dennis is especially renowned for his captivating
black-and-white photography, which he says allows
viewers to experience the world’s beauty in its
purest form. Dennis travels worldwide, bringing to
light stories of the marginalized and voiceless. He
has won numerous awards for his work, both in the
photography and film world. Dennis hopes to be an
advocate for social change through his work.
