I am currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at Multimedia University of Kenya, with graduation expected in November 2025. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Riara University. Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a versatile skill set in multimedia content creation, digital marketing, and visual branding.
My professional journey spans both the digital and creative fields. I have worked as a Digital Marketer and Social Media Manager, where I successfully managed campaigns using Buffer, developed engaging online strategies, and grew audiences through targeted content. I also served as a Graphics Design Teacher at Aurox Film and Technical Institute, where I trained students in design principles, visual communication, and creative software, sharpening both my technical expertise and leadership skills.
In addition, I co-host a podcast with a team of fellow creatives, a passion project that has strengthened my collaborative skills and ability to craft compelling audio content for diverse audiences. These experiences complement my background in photography and videography, where I hold Canon certifications and actively serve as a volunteer photographer with my church’s media team.
I previously worked as a Corporate Communications Intern at the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, where I photographed official events, produced audiovisual content for social media, and wrote news briefs and captions. I also served as a news reporter at MMU Radio, sharpening my audio editing, voice articulation, and fast-paced news gathering skills.

Education
Through the International Relations degree program, I obtained an array of skills and knowledge in areas that include: international relations, diplomacy, international law, peace and conflict resolution, migration and diaspora studies, international security and basic proficiency in the French language among others.
Throughout the post-graduate diploma program, I have acquired knowledge on: radio production, TV production, mass communication, news reporting, media and communication law, graphic design, among others. Moreover, I have been equipped with intermediate proficiency in the English and Kiswahili languages, computer skills, communication etiquette, logical and critical thinking.
Work & Experience
I had served as a student attache at the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in the Corporate Communications Division for a period of three months. During this period, I was responsible for preparing daily news briefs, covering corporate events both at the Office and externally, which included photography and crafting social media captions for news stories. Additionally, I excelled in writing news articles and creating audiovisual materials for our social media platforms.
As a news reporter, I was tasked with collecting news items, recording them, editing the audio and presenting it on the behalf of the radio station. During this period, I was trained on audio editing for news presentation, proper articulation for news reporting, various means to obtain news amongst others.
I am currently volunteering as a photographer for my church’s production team. This entails assisting the church in providing media coverage on the various events hosted by the church. This helps in building the church's social media presence as well as highlight the activities done by the church. as well as teaching at the Sunday school.
At Aurox Film and Technical Institute I combined hands-on social media management with creative leadership: I ran multi-channel campaigns using Buffer, developed audience-first strategies and content calendars, and iteratively refined creative through analytics. As a Graphics Design Teacher I translated design theory into practical coursework — teaching visual communication, composition and industry workflows — while mentoring students to deliver polished, client-ready work. This mix of digital marketing execution and instructional leadership sharpened my strategic thinking, technical proficiency in creative software, and ability to lead teams to measurable growth
