Dear SIR/MADAM,
My name is Irine Muthoni Njuguna. I recently graduated with a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. I am writing to apply for a position in your media team—either in TV, digital journalism, or content creation. I am very passionate about media and I enjoy using it to inform, entertain, and connect with people.
I have hands-on experience working at GBS TV Africa as a news reporter, TV host, and content creator. I hosted live shows like Friday Entertainment and 254 Trivia, interviewed guests including artists and public figures, and edited full video packages using Adobe Premiere Pro. During my internship and volunteer work, I learned how to report, script, edit, and present news stories for both TV and social media. I also had the opportunity to interview the Kenya Diaspora Alliance Ambassador, which helped me grow my confidence and skills.
I am creative, reliable, and ready to work. I enjoy working with a team, and I’m always open to learning. Whether it’s reporting news, editing videos, hosting shows, or creating content for Instagram or YouTube—I put in my best and I always aim to improve.
I would be grateful for the chance to join your media team and grow as a journalist and content creator. Thank you for taking the time to read my application. I am available for an interview at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Irine Muthoni Njuguna
