Outputs: Kenya Economic Update (KEU) Reports: Production of biannual KEU reports, providing comprehensive coverage of Kenya's economic status and ongoing developments. Climate Change and Development Report (CCDR) for Kenya: Supported the creation of the CCDR for Kenya which highlighted the impact of climate change on the country and examined how Kenya's Vision 2030 and Medium-Term Plans align with efforts to address climate change challenges. Other macroeconomics-related tasks: Working on various macroeconomic requests on a wide array of economic and development issues pertaining to Kenya from different units within the World Bank.
Research Project Management: Coordinated and executed of research projects at global, regional, and country levels involving managing research design, outreach, databases and data analysis, report write-up and presentation of results to key stakeholders. Partnership Management: Established and nurtured partnerships with fintechs, fintech associations, and financial regulators in MENA and SSA regions. I also represented CCAF in regional and national forums. Stakeholder and Funding Development: Worked with MENA-MED and SSA Regional Leads and the broader CCAF team in developing CCAF programs, networks, and outputs. People Management: Identified resource need, budgeted, recruited, supervised, and handled administrative responsibilities for research teams at the global and regional levels.
Research Management: Designed projects and quantitative/qualitative survey instruments, budgeted, recruited of field officers, supervised and coordinated field activities for various financial inclusion projects in Africa. Data Analysis: Cleaned, analyzed, visualized and drew insights the collected data using tools such as Stata, Eviews, Excel, PowerBI and Tableau. Managing Projects: Managed projects and both external and internal engagements included vendor and consultants management. Writing and Results Dissemination: Created client reports and presentations and presented the findings to clients.
Research and Analysis: I conducted comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research and used tools such as Stata and EViews and PowerBi for data analysis and visualization. Leadership and Training: I contracted research firms, trained and supervised data collectors across five East African countries, following data collection procedure and quality controls. Digital Analytics: Enhanced content quality and engagement on websites and digital communication channels and monitored performance, prepared communication strategies, and generated reports on subscriber engagement.
Data Capturing: Captured data from records at the University of Cape Town and University of KwaZulu- Natal. Data Management: Organized data to make it useful to researchers and policymakers and followed rules and procedures for data sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
Competitor Analysis: Conducted analysis of competitor market activities in Sub-Saharan Africa and provided actionable insights, foresight and forecast to Ericsson strategy team management. Data Analysis and Management: Developed new methods and tools for analysis, and contributed to competitive intelligence process improvements.
Investment Management: Grew financial instruments in capital and money markets under Equity Bank management from $150 million to over $300 million in less than two years. Market Analysis, Financial Advisory and Reporting: Analyzed the market to give insights on the performance of investments and prepared reports and made presentations to trustees and fund managers.
