Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within the specified regions,
ensuring they align with Beta Healthcare International Ltd’s and its regional objectives and standards. This role
requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects
simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality, timelines, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines and resource
    allocation. Ensure alignment with Organization’s strategic goals and regional needs.
  • Execution and Coordination: Oversee the implementation of projects across the region, coordinating with
    cross-functional teams and local stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, budget and materials.
    Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources to meet project goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and proactively address
    challenges to ensure project success.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, performance, and outcomes. Provide regular updates
    and reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, achievements and areas of concern.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
    including partners, clients and local authorities. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure
    project alignment and support.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure projects meet quality standards and adhere to regulatory requirements and best
    practices. Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues.
    Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related
    field. A Master’s degree or relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in direct project management, with a proven track record
    of successfully managing projects across multiple regions. Experience in the healthcare sector is an
    advantage.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management software and
    methodologies. Excellent organizational leadership and communication skills.
  • Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the healthcare landscape, regulatory environment, and cultural
    diversity in Sub Saharan Africa.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate ability to address complex issues and develop innovative solutions in a
    dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    Technical and Behavioural Skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing direction and support to achieve project goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information, facilitate discussions, and
    engage stakeholders.
  • Aptitude for identifying issues, analyzing problems and developing effective solutions.
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly, considering potential impacts and risks.
  • Skills in negotiating with stakeholders, resolving conflicts and finding mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team environment, manage conflicts and build strong working relationships.
  • Capability to adapt to changing circumstances, handle unforeseen challenges and remain resilient under
    pressure.
  • Skills in managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Strong focus on details to ensure all aspects of the project are handled accurately and comprehensively.
  • Ability to understand and address the concerns and needs of team members and stakeholders, fostering a
    positive work environment.
