Job Description

Girls Not Brides is seeking a Communications Consultant to support our Africa Team in amplifying the voices of grassroots organisations, positioning child marriage as a key advocacy issue, and enhancing media engagement across the region.

What’s involved:
✅ Develop and implement a short-term communications plan aligned with advocacy priorities
✅ Create compelling digital content, including stories, social media posts, and blog articles
✅ Support media engagement by drafting press releases, pitching stories, and identifying opportunities
✅ Develop communication materials to support regional campaigns and events
✅ Strengthen strategic storytelling that centres the voices of girls and grassroots partners

We’re looking for someone with strong storytelling skills, media savvy, and a passion for social impact. If you have experience in communications, journalism, or advocacy—particularly in African contexts—we’d love to hear from you!
