Job Description

As our Graphic Designer, you’ll join a close-knit marketing team. You’ll have a real seat at the table – help shape direction, understand the “why,” and turn that insight into crisp, production-ready design. You own the process end-to-end and keep projects moving from idea to install, print, and publish.

What’s In It For You

  • Join a tight, collaborative team where you’ll have real influence, helping shape a beloved Kenyan brand as we rebrand and grow internationally.
  • An environment that encourages and supports personal & professional development through coaching & mentorship,  further education & certifications in coffee knowledge.
  • You’ll take projects from idea to install/print/publish with autonomy and trust.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-growth, market-leading environment.
  • And most importantly, endless cups of the finest coffee (because, well, coffee fuels everything)
Role and Responsibilities
Culture

  • Join a close-knit team that shares context freely, values straight talk, and collaborates openly.
  • Take responsibility and seek feedback, choosing ownership over ego.
  • Care about guests and partners, sweating the details that shape their experience.
  • Move at a high pace with high standards, turning work around quickly while maintaining meticulous design.

Execution

  • Contribute to direction, understanding the “why.”
  • Independently turn that context into on-brand, production-ready work without micromanagement.
  • Carry projects from brief to concepts, revisions, specs, and final handover/installation.
  • Design for impact and iterate using real feedback from the wider team and partners.

Retail & Packaging

  • Create café collateral – menus, signage, window vinyls, decals, and A-frames – delivered print and installation ready.
  • Develop packaging from label updates to new SKUs, handling dielines, CMYK/Pantone, proofs, and supplier QC.
  • Build seasonal promo kits – fast-turn templates and guidelines – for consistent rollouts across locations.

Digital & B2B Enablement

  • Design and deliver e-commerce assets including homepage banners, product imagery and Shopify optimised files.
  • Create partner toolkits for resellers that are easy to use and quick to deploy.
  • Produce sales materials such as spec sheets, price lists, decks and training guides in print and PDF.

Process, Quality & Delivery

  • Deliver bulletproof production files with correct bleed, colour management and formats.
  • Coordinate smoothly with printers and suppliers sign makers to keep work moving.
  • Build tidy templates, asset libraries, and simple naming/version control to speed future work.
  • Prioritise, communicate, and land projects on time.

Experience & Education

  • 3-5+ years in brand/graphic design with hospitality/retail and packaging work in your portfolio.
  • Degree in Design/Visual Comm – or equivalent portfolio-backed experience.
  • Advanced Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop; Canva for quick turnarounds.
  • Production expertise: CMYK/Pantone, bleed, dielines, large-format specs, prepress; confident coordinating with printers and sign-makers.
  • Digital fluency: Shopify-ready assets, email banners/headers, sales decks and PDFs.
  • Nice to have: basic motion, 3D/mockups, product photography/retouching.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for specialty coffee (or the hunger to learn fast).
  • Familiarity with the Kenyan coffee and hospitality landscape is a plus.

Our Expectation

  • We look for high-energy, self-motivated people who love coffee and hospitality (or are eager to learn), show deep ownership and curiosity, care about others, keep growing, and aim for excellence.
  • Execute our marketing through design: turn direction into on-brand, production-ready work and move it from concept to install/print/publish – bringing our story to life while quickly learning and guarding our brand guidelines and voice.
