Description
We are an event management company currently organising a conference in Nairobi on behalf of a European agency. Our project manager is handling everything remotely from Italy, and we're looking for a reliable local coordinator on the ground to support them — someone who can liaise with venues and vendors, check things in person, and be our eyes and ears in the city.
It's a short-term freelance contract (KES 120,000 / ~€800), and no extensive experience is needed — just someone organised, responsive, and who knows Nairobi well.
The only fixed commitment is 27–30 July. Everything before that is flexible around your schedule.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
•Be the main on-site contact in Nairobi
«Scout venues and liaise with local vendors
•Confirm logistics: catering, AV, room setup
•Share local recommendations (restaurants, transport)
•Report daily to our remote team in Italy (CEST)
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
•Based in Nairobi with good knowledge of the city
•Some experience in events, hospitality, or project coordination — junior level welcome
•Reliable, proactive, and a good communicator
•Fluent in English
•Fully available 27-30 July
The only fixed commitment is 27-30 July.
The preparation phase before that is genuinely flexible — no set hours, no daily schedule. Great if you're a student, working part-time, or freelancing.
