Description

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS | AFAMP 2026–2027 Are you an emerging female visual artist based in Africa, ready to take your artistic practice to the next level? Applications are now open for the African Female Artist Mentorship Program (AFAMP) 2026–2027 Cohort! An initiative of Girl Child Art Foundation (GCAF), AFAMP is a pan-African mentorship program that equips emerging female artists with the knowledge, professional guidance, networks, and opportunities they need to build sustainable artistic careers. Through mentorship with established artists, conversations with curators and creative industry professionals, and practical learning experiences, participants gain valuable insights into navigating the contemporary art world—from developing their artistic practice and understanding gallery relationships to exhibiting their work and engaging with the global art community. What awaits you? Mentorship from established African artists Professional development and industry insights Access to a network of artists, curators, and creative professionals Opportunities for artistic growth, collaboration, and exhibition We believe that a lack of access to knowledge, resources, or professional networks should not limit talent. AFAMP is creating space for the next generation of African women artists to find their voices, strengthen their practices, and shape their own futures. Applications are open! Application deadline: October 30, 2026 Apply through our website: https://bit.ly/AFAMPguide Know an emerging female artist who deserves this opportunity?
